The 2024 29er UK Winter Champs, held at Draycote Water was a thrilling and highly competitive gathering of sailing enthusiasts.

With a total of 50 participants, the event showcased the skill and determination of the sailors as they navigated the challenging waters. After a series of intense races, the winners of the event were announced. In first place, we have James Crossley and Sam Webb, who displayed exceptional teamwork and sailing prowess throughout the competition. Their strategic manoeuvrers and precise control of the 29er skiff propelled them to victory. Coming in a close second were Finn Morris and Charlie Gran. Their impressive performance and tactical decision-making demonstrated their dedication to the sport. Their consistent speed and agility on the water earned them a well-deserved second-place finish.

In third place, we have Jac Bailey and Ben Sinfield, who showcased their sailing expertise and determination. Their ability to adapt to changing wind conditions and maintain a steady pace throughout the event secured their spot on the podium. Shortly behind in fourth place and also first female was Annabelle Vines and Amelie Hiscocks. Their success was a testament to the power of dedication, hard work, and a shared love for sailing. Congratulations to this extraordinary pair of girls for their remarkable victory and for setting a shining example for all aspiring female sailors. The event was filled with exciting moments and memorable highlights. Participants demonstrated their skills in manoeuvring the 29er skiff, a challenging and high-performance dinghy. Spectators were treated to thrilling races, with competitors showcasing their sailing techniques and tactical decision-making.

The event also provided an opportunity for participants to connect with fellow sailing enthusiasts, fostering a sense of camaraderie and sportsmanship. The supportive atmosphere created a positive and encouraging environment for all involved. We extend our gratitude to all the participants, organizers, and volunteers who made this event possible. Their hard work and passion for sailing contributed to an unforgettable experience for everyone involved.
