The RS21 UK & Ireland Class, in collaboration with the Royal Southern YC, announces the countdown to the first round of the RS21 Cup, set to start in just six weeks.

As the community and competitors gear up for the 2024 season, anticipation builds on the success of a record-breaking 2023, which saw 25 boats at the National Championships. The momentum continues with new owners joining the class ahead of what promises to be another big year for the Class.

"The excitement for the 2024 season is palpable," states Nick Redding, International Class Manager. "2023 was a milestone year for us, and with the upcoming season, we're set to elevate the experience even further. Hamble, a key location for keelboat sailing in the UK, is the perfect venue to start the RS21 Cup. We're looking at three days filled with competitive racing, complemented by dock parties, crew dinners, and a vibrant onshore social scene, ensuring a high-class event for everyone involved."

The RS21 Cup in Hamble promises not just top-level racing overseen by Class PRO Roger Wilson but also unique social events like the Harken UK Dock Party and a crew dinner hosted by the Royal Southern YC, fostering the real community spirit that the RS21 class is known for. With racing commencing on Friday afternoon, the event is the first of 6 Rounds that form the RS21 Cup 2024. With 6 Events, 50 Races the Cup looks like it will become a cornerstone of peoples calendar for 2024.

The RS21 Class is renowned for being one of the fastest-growing one-design classes globally, distinguished by its combination of high-performance racing, premium venues, and events that extend beyond the water to create an experience that is about more than sailing.
