The RS21 International Class Association proudly announces the official opening of the RS21 World Championship 2024.

Set to be held at the distinguished Club Nautic L'Escala, Spain, from 21st to 28th September, the event's entries are anticipated to surpass the record-breaking 55 boats from 2023. This year's championship is not just about finding the best keelboat team on the planet; it's also a testament to the sailing community's commitment to sustainability and will bring the innovative Friends & Family Pass to the event for the first time!

In a first for the championship, the innovative Friends & Family Pass allows the RS21 competitors to share the thrill of the event with their loved ones, ensuring full access to the entire event, including après sail parties, the opening ceremony, and the championship dinner.

"We are thrilled by the overwhelming interest in the RS21 World Championship 2024, and we're anticipating reaching our entry limit of 80 boats well ahead of schedule," says RS21 International Class Manager Nick Redding. Expressing excitement about the championship's prospects, he continues, "for the first time we are bringing in an official Friends & Family Pass for the World Championships, something that adds to our efforts to build the RS21 community on and off the water!"

Club Nautic L'Escala, a venue acclaimed for its adherence to the highest standards of environmental management, as evidenced by its ISO 14001 certification, offers an unparalleled sailing experience. Positioned north of the mountains of Barcelona, L'Escala and the Bay of Roses are blessed with strong thermal winds and conditions ideal for sailing, promising competitors challenging yet rewarding races.

The RS21 World Championships 2024 is more than a competition; it's a celebration of sailing, environmental stewardship, and community. Sailors from around the globe will converge on the beautiful coasts of L'Escala to demonstrate their skills in what promises to be an unforgettable series of races under the most exquisite conditions nature can offer.

For registration and more details, visit the official championship website. No boat? No problem, charters are available from RS Sailing Club. With the entries now officially open, the RS21 Class invites you to come along and #jointherevolution in keelboat sailing!
