As of 2023 the RS600 class has a new licensed builder: Ginger Boats. Ginger have picked up where Boat Yard at Beer left off and began building boats in 2023 with input from the RS Class Association as well as Kevin at Boat Yard and RS Sailing.

These new boats are built from the original moulds, but have some improvements to the internal structure to improve their longevity e.g. glass backed foam stringers, as well as some sensible changes to the deck mould such as a rear access hatch to allow for pintles to be easily replaced.

Every effort has been made to maintain the overall hull weight and one design principle of the class whilst ensuring new boats have the same or greater longevity than the early hulls.

The new boats have already proved fast with a win at the Noble Marine 2023 Nationals, as well as the overall Rooster National Tour and the 2024 Grafham Grand Prix (medium fleet).

Boats can be bought as a complete package via Ginger Boats, as well as a partial package or as a hull only. Please contact Ginger Boats to discuss options.

For all your RS600 spares please visit the RS sailing store.

We have a fantastic Rooster National Tour planned for the 2024 season which is also the 30th anniversary of the RS600 including a trip to Riva del Garda in May.

For those new to the RS600, there is a comprehensive new series of coaching videos on the RS600 Class Association website, featuring George Smith.

There's never been a better time to join (or re-join) the fleet!
