Marine Development Inc. (MDI), a long-standing industry leader specializing in new marina construction, expansions, restoration and repair, wave attenuators, fuel docks and more, announced the successful renovation of Nine Marina in Eufaula, Okla.

The improvements and planning began in 2022, when Nine Marina owner, Jake Nossaman sought out MDI for work on the project, which required a complex balance of new construction and expansion of existing elements. The construction was completed in 2023. Designed to be both attractive and user-friendly, Nossaman's goal with the renovation was not only to expand the marina's useable space but to create a welcome destination, inviting for boaters, residents and visitors who enjoy lake-side amenities.

The project included the construction of a ship store and fuel dock, as well as an overall expansion of the marina by 34 covered slips. The store platform is 100- by 100-feet, and in addition to the store, includes a cantina, restrooms and double courtesy slips for easy access for patrons. The large fuel dock offers area boaters exceptional convenience, while the eight double slips reduce wait times. The piers are extra wide for comfort and safety and the fuel dock incorporates a storage platform.

"It was a pleasure working with Mick and his team at MDI," said Nossaman. "We were able to set up weekly communication calls so I always knew where we were throughout the manufacturing process and what would be coming next. MDI met every timeline, and we worked through every fine detail together to produce an exceptional product. They delivered as promised, on time and on budget and we are very proud of the end result."

Marine Development Inc. was founded with a commitment to producing outstanding and sustainable marina and dock solutions for its customers. Over the past 40 years and under the current leadership of owner Mick Webber and president Scott Mauldin, the company has achieved a reputation for superior products and exceptional customer service in marine construction. MDI's seasoned and expert staff designs, builds and installs floating docks for commercial marinas, pump stations, wave attenuators, fuel docks and ship's stores. Examples abound on lakes across America.
