Wave Regatta, the thrilling biennial sailing spectacle, is set to make waves once again at Howth Yacht Club from May 24th to 26th, 2024.

This prestigious event invites enthusiasts from Ireland and beyond to compete in a showcase keelboat-racing event for all cruiser racing classes and some of the local one-designs.

High Seas, High Stakes

  • Keelboat Entries: Wave Regatta welcomes all cruiser-racing class boats, competing under current IRC and ECHO handicap ratings. Whether you're a seasoned sailor or a rising star, this is your chance to test your mettle against the best competition in Ireland.
  • Lambay Races: For those who prefer a Saturday-only event, the famous Lambay Races promise exhilarating action on the water and the unique and serene backdrop of Lambay Island. One-design keelboats will also join the fray, ensuring a diverse and competitive fleet.

Other On-the-Water Activities

Wave Regatta isn't just about keelboat racing; it's a celebration of all things nautical during the event weekend, including the following opportunities for anyone not competing in the main regatta:

  1. Stand-Up-Paddleboarding (SUP): Learn to glide across the waves and explore the stunning coastline with courses from Discover SUP
  2. Wing-Foiling: Harness the wind and ride the Fingal shoreline with this exciting new watersport with the team from PureMagic
  3. Onshore Excitement: Cheer on rowing competitors as they battle it out on the shore with the team from Crew Class.

Party on the Shore

Wave Regatta is equally renowned for its legendary 3-day party. Get ready for:

  • Outdoor Festival Bar: Sip refreshing drinks and party cocktails at our large outdoor bar and with the sea breeze in your hair.
  • Catering Village: Savour delectable bites all-day from our onsite caterers.
