29er Euro Cup at Real Club Náutico de Valencia - Day 2

by Pep Portas 2 Feb 2024 17:14 GMT 31 January - 4 February 2024

The weather forecasts pointed to a second day with little wind. On this occasion, they were right, as the wind did not reach Valencia in terms of intensity. Delta was scheduled to be hoisted at 10.00 a.m. and at 11.00 a.m. the day's four races were to start.

Instead, at 11.00 a.m. the race committee hoisted the postponement on land, so a long and uncertain period began, since the readings given by the committee from the race area were almost nil, at most 3 knots and a completely flat sea.

At about 16.00 hours the committee hoisted 'intelligence on A' so no more races would be held today.

For the moment, the results established on Thursday continue to leave the tandem of the RCN of Valencia, with Sara and Isa Momplet provisional leaders with 5 points. The French tandem formed by Charles Trolard and Thibaut Clouet (YC Mauguio Carnon) are placed first in the men's category with 12 points.

Tomorrow Saturday, February 3rd, third day of the Olympic Week for the 29er, who have the national title and the Eurocup at stake, and first for the Finn, Snipe and Vaurien, who are making their debut in the Valencian event.
