Celebrating its 21st anniversary this weekend is Geographe Bay Race Week.

Regarded as the premier sailing event in WA, where boats from all over WA depend on the South West with a mix of local and interstate sailors keen to compete on the wonderful waters of Geographe Bay.

Competition is looking hot with an increase from 43 in 2023 to 75 boats this year due to compete in a range of divisions from Racing fleets including a WA first "Super 30 Fleet" as well as premier cruising and Jib & Main Sailors all keen to win the prestigious awards on offer.

Best viewing is off Busselton Jetty with most starts at 1230 daily starting Sunday 3rd Feb to Friday 9th.

Event Director Scott Olney commented "The increase in participation is a credit to the team at Geographe Bay Yacht Club. This being the second year at the helm of the event nothing makes me happier than the camaraderie amongst sailors and families alike. We're providing a destination that everyone is so looking forward to visiting on an annual basis, Busselton has changed so much in the last 5 years with amazing new dining destinations for people to explore plus the Margaret river winery's that are a must...Plus the sailing conditions are AMAZING... Happy 21st Bday Geo Bay Race week!"
