The 2024 Finn Open Europeans (incorporating the U23 and Masters Europeans) will return to the Yacht Club de Cannes in October. Entry is now open and the Notice of Race is published on the event website at 2024.finneuropeans.org.

The championship is being held from 18-25 October and is expected to be very popular, and being later in the year than usual it offers some late season racing in one of the most attractive Mediterranean destinations.

A warm up regatta is also being held over the weekend of 19-20 October.

It will mark 20 years since the same club held the 2004 Finn World Masters, which attracted 192 entries, a record at the time that stood until 2008.

The club has a long history with the Finn with one of the largest Finn fleets present at the club. Each year since 2003 it has organised the Semaine Internationale des Finn, which has evolved into the traditional season opening event. This year it is being held from 13-16 February. Already there are 48 entries. Website here

The opening of entry for the Open Europeans completes the programme of the three major events for the Finn Class in 2024, which are all proving very popular.

The Finn World Masters in Punta Ala, Italy, has already attracted 217 entries. View the event website here.

Entry for the Finn Gold Cup (incorporating the Finn Silver Cup) in Aarhus, Denmark, opened on 1 January, and there are already 39 entries. Event website here

The championship calendar for 2025 is also now fixed. The Open Europeans will be held in Naples, Italy, in April, following by the Finn World Masters in Medemblik, The Netherlands, in June with the Finn Gold Cup in Cascais, Portugal, in September, before the fleet heads down under for the Finn Gold Cup and World Masters in Brisbane, Australia in February 2026.
