Skipper required for stunning Swan 56 Magical, based in Hamble
An opportunity has arisen for a skipper for Swan 56 Magical. Owned by the same family since 1999, she has been meticulously and professionally maintained and needs a skipper between May and October, with at least 100 days guaranteed.
Based from Hamble at MDL Mercury Yacht Harbour, Magical has a private berth enjoying river views.
Magical is a beautiful Swan that has raced Swan Europeans, Worlds and many more. Now in her later years, she is at the heart of the family and a much valued focal point to summer adventures with two generations of experienced racing sailors using the Swan as support for their grandchildren’s sailing racing and training, and windsurfing.
In addition, the family cruise to enjoy a range of events. Magical is used for the family’s accommodation and storage of racing equipment. The skipper is valued as part of this team and dines with the family whilst in dock.
Via Magical’s tenders the skipper would provide additional safety cover to watersports and act as a ferry to shore.
With a cruising range of Solent to Weymouth and St Malo, France, this is a fantastic job for an experienced skipper.
During weekends in the grandchildren’s term time if the weather is favourable, the family also like to relax in local Solent anchorages. The skipper would need to assist in Friday delivery, weekend support and Monday / Tuesday return to home port.
