Tartan Yachts, a renowned name in the world of superior sailing yachts for over 60 years, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mike Mullenberg as the National Sales & Business Development Manager for the Tartan sailboat and Legacy motor yacht brand. Mullenberg will be responsible for leading dealer and business development efforts in the North American Continent, with a primary focus on expanding the US/Canadian/Mexican dealer group and growing the rich 64-year legacy of Tartan.

Mike Mullenberg, currently based in Anacortes, WA, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to Tartan Yachts. As the owner of Niche Watercraft, a marine business development company, and owner of Pacific Cruising Yachts, a Pacific Northwest based yacht brokerage, Mullenberg has consistently demonstrated his strong understanding of the marine industry and offers extensive experience in dealer and product development. Leading the Tartan dealer development team and representing the Tartan brand has been a long-built dream for Mullenberg. Mullenberg's first connection with Tartan Yachts started in the mid 80's as a Tartan dealer followed in the early 1990's as a Tartan factory representative for the US West Coast markets.

From there, Mullenberg's career focus shifted to raising his 2-year-old son and real estate, pulling him off the road. Despite the detour, he maintained his connections to the sailing industry and in 2011, he relocated to Anacortes as a yacht broker for Marine Servicenter. In 2017, he launched Pacific Cruising Yachts, a successful Pacific NW yacht brokerage and in 2021 launched Niche Watercraft, a specialty marine sales and marketing company. Mullenberg rekindled his camaraderie with Tim Jackett, now Chief Designer & Operations Manager of Tartan Yachts. His commitment to continuing to grow within the boating industry, and his keen eye for business opportunities, led him back into discussions with Tartan in Summer 2023, reconnecting Mullenberg with the brand that first held his passion for sailing.

Mullenberg shares, "After over 30 years, I get to be back with this incredible brand that I have loved for decades. It has been a career-long desire to be involved with Tartan Yachts at this level." With a proven track record in driving sales growth and forming strategic alliances, along with a passion for sailing and a deep appreciation for Tartan's history, Mullenberg's addition to the team promises to bring new growth and innovation to Tartan while maintaining the brand's esteemed reputation.
