New Horizon FD75 unveiled

by Horizon Yachts 25 Nov 2023 05:55 GMT

A new Horizon FD75 has launched and is now available on the American market. The stunning four-stateroom yacht made an appearance at the 2023 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, where she was lauded for her compact design, well-planned layout and contemporary European-inspired interior style.

Attendees of the show were welcomed aboard via the swim platform of the yacht, where the transom door provides access to her crew quarters for two, with storage and access to the engine room housing the yacht's twin CAT C18 ACERT engines of 1,136hp each. An additional stairway to the crew quarters is positioned on the port side of the aft deck for ease of access while under way. The aft deck itself is outfitted with an inviting L-shaped seating area and Hi/Lo coffee/dining table.

Through large sliding doors, the main salon immediately conveys the yacht's contemporary European style, the focal point of which is the forward bulkhead feature wall of Paonazzo Biondo marble by XTONE. The golden and rust tones of the marble are echoed throughout the interior style, which showcases swiss white and silver oaks complemented by metallic accents.

The FD75 has been designed with a galley-aft configuration, creating an efficient flow between the interior and exterior spaces. A custom, expandable dining table to port doubles as a breakfast table for four opposite the well-equipped galley and center island. Irish mist matte finish fingerprint-resistant material for the galley cabinetry presents a classic design in a simple white-gray color scheme.

The salon area is situated forward to port and is highlighted by a large and luxurious L-shaped sofa of bright white and burnt orange European leather. A concentric circle nesting coffee table complements the modern Nordic style and color scheme. A pop-up television rotates to face guests either in the salon area or at the dining table while the salon cabinet can be fitted with an optional 8-person wine glass set for entertainment and relaxation in this space.

One of the unique features of the compact FD75 is the semi-raised pilothouse configuration that allows for forward access to the master stateroom from the main deck. Forward of the salon, the helm station is fitted with twin STIDD helm chairs while the aforementioned master suite is accessed via several steps forward to starboard.

Nestled in the bow, the master suite spans the yacht's full beam. Forward, the ensuite features dual washbasins highlighted by a large Smart mirror with Bluetooth, lighting options, time and temperature display and defogging features.

The main guest stairwell is positioned to starboard, opposite the salon area, and accesses the three additional guest staterooms, comprising a full-beam VIP amidship, a convertible twin to starboard and an additional twin cabin to port. Storage is maximized throughout the FD75, including within the VIP, which features a white flip-top vanity to port accompanied by a leather stool in the same autumnal color palette subtly featured throughout.

The new FD75 has been designed with an inviting open flybridge equipped with a dayhead, a large bar with three fixed bar stools, a BBQ station, a hidden chest freezer, and an L-shaped seating and dining area. Ample space for tender and toy stowage is accommodated on the boat deck, while the foredeck offers another lounging and dining area with an expandable table.

Equipped with the latest in audio visual equipment, including Apple TVs and charging stations throughout, the new FD75 is the ninth hull of the entry-level FD Series model, which offers high-volume, high-style builds in models up to 130 feet in length.
