Building on the resounding success of the inaugural year, Bacardi, in collaboration with the Star Class, is thrilled to announce the return of the Bacardi Cup U30 Program for 2024.

The Bacardi Cup U30 Program, which launched in 2023, is a commitment to nurture the next generation of Star Class sailors. The primary goal of the program is to offer promising young sailors the opportunity to chase their racing dreams at the prestigious Bacardi Cup in Miami, USA. The program extends complimentary entry to the regatta and financial support to cover sailors' expenses associated with participation, for up to ten teams from around the world.

Eddie Cutillas, Bacardi USA, said, "At Bacardi, we have always believed in fostering the spirit of excellence and innovation in the world of sailing. The Bacardi Cup U30 Program represents our unwavering commitment to nurturing young talent, fostering their journey to success and ensuring the continued growth of the Star Class. It's an investment in the future of sailors and the sport, and Bacardi is excited to be part of the journey."

He added, "The Star Class continues to be one of the most demanding, exhilarating, and inspirational boats to sail, and Bacardi is determined to uphold its legacy as a longstanding partner of the Star Class. We aim to maximize opportunities for all sailors to compete, ensuring the enduring appeal of the Star Class."

The 97th Bacardi Cup will take place from March 3-9, 2024, at the Coral Reef Yacht Club, Miami. With a six-race series, the event promises to deliver passion and world-class competition. Every year, the regatta boasts a blend of sailing legends, World Champions, Olympians, and professional sailors who compete alongside enthusiasts. Miami in spring provides the perfect stage, with its warm weather, consistent breeze, camaraderie, and exceptional Bacardi hospitality.

Paul Cayard, President of ISCYRA, commented, "The passion for sailing the Star transcends generations, attracting the finest sailors. The emerging talent is inspiring. We have a robust U30 fleet supported by our U30 Development Committee, who, alongside our long-standing sailors, generously provide resources and expertise. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Bacardi for their unwavering commitment to ensuring the timeless allure of the Star Class remains accessible to all."
