Bart's Bash 2023: The Andrew Simpson Centres

We are extremely proud to host Bart's Bash at the Andrew Simpson Centres (ASC's), the Andrew Simpson Foundation's not-for-profit watersports centres. Our ASCs deliver a range of charitable programmes enabling young people from all walks of life to get out on the water. 

Over 380 participants took part in Bart's Bash at our ASC's this year and together they raised £3500!

Our Portsmouth centre hosted an open day where local families could have a taster of activities available for a small donation - helping to raise valuable funds. Our Reading team hosted both a Bart's Bash race and an Oppie Fun Race with over 60 sailors on the water throughout the day.

What a wonderful end to Summer 2023, our 10th Annual Barts Bash brought together over 120 people from the Weymouth and Portland community, a brilliant event to mark 10 years of transforming young lives through sailing.

It was amazing to see such a large mixed fleet with sailors from all backgrounds, kids to adults, beginners to Olympians all taking part as equals out on the water. This event has highlighted how welcoming and accepting the sport is as we welcomed sailors from Chesil Sailability.
