GP14 Hot Toddy Weekend at the Royal North of Ireland Yacht Club - Preview

The Royal North of Ireland Yacht Club is delighted to be hosting this year's GP14 Hot Toddy Weekend, sponsored by Bushmills.

This is an annual Event hosted by various Yacht Clubs throughout Ireland. This year the Organisers are expecting around 30 GP14's. Apart from the Royal North Home Fleet of GP14's, visiting GP's are expected from Sutton, Blessington, Howth, Moville, Lough Erne, Strangford Lough, and at least one boat making the trip from England.

This will be a highly competitive fleet will some of the resident boats on home waters expected to do well, however given the quality of the visitors attending they will have a lot to do!

Six races are scheduled, with three races each day. Current weather forecast is favourable for the Event although Sunday could get a little spicy!

Racing starts this Saturday at Cultra.

A variety of conditions tested the 45 boat fleet The 2024 GP14 Championship of Ireland concluded on Sunday at Newtownards Sailing Club. 8 races across 3 days and a variety of conditions tested the 45 boat fleet. A strong fleet is set for Pwllheli in August The GP14 Worlds at Plas Heli, Pwllheli is once again five championships in one event. Some tight racing at Winsford Flash Sailing Club The event started with a day's training from Neil Marsden, on Thursday 30th May.
