The fourth UKLA Qualifier of 2023, the first of 3 Autumn events, was held at Paignton SC over the weekend. Over 150 sailors entered into the ILCA 4, 6 & 7 fleets. Entries included many of the ILCA sailors from the British Sailing Team and British Sailing Squad.

Unfortunately the weather across the UK at the weekend was extremely variable and Torbay did not escape. 3 tricky races were completed on Saturday, but the weather conditions and launching challenges on Sunday lead to racing being cancelled. Most sailors had to navigate treacherous flash flooding on the way home, exemplifying the challenges the RC were faced with and the unfortunate decision they were forced to make.

Thanks to our sponsors for their support - especially to Rooster and Noble Marine who headlined the event.
