The Swanage regatta is fast approaching and hosted in what is seemingly the only place that still gets summer sunshine in the UK.

On the 16th, 17th September come along to two days of racing and an evening BBQ in a beautiful, tucked away seaside town make it the perfect event for a last weekend holiday before we all resign ourselves to the reality that winter is fast approaching.

If you'd like a class event hosted at Swanage Sailing Club then coming along to the event is a great way to see what we can offer and also a chance to meet and chat to the events team. We've got easy launching no matter what the conditions or sea state and probably the cheapest bar prices too!

Over the weekend, no two races will be the same with every race using a different course rather than the monotony of doing the same windward/leeward again and again and again. This also allows all boats a chance to perform on py. The previous two regatta winners were Sam Whaley and the following year won by Ben Whaley, so at this point it's a rather prestigious trophy to try to get your name engraved on.

You also get to race on one of the UK's best secret training venue's. With top sailors coming to train here away from prying eyes, and various prototype sails and boat equipment also using Swanage sailing club as a test venue, you'll want to come along to find out why.

It's only £17.50 for single handers and £27.50 for double handers (includes BBQ tickets), with the first race being at 11:55am on the Saturday. Of course you can bring your boats down on the Friday evening before, with spaces being reserved for visitors boats. More information is on the Swanage sailing club website at www.swanagesailingclub.org.uk.
