Dockmate®, manufacturer of advanced wireless remote-control systems for yachts, announced it has been selected by Horizon Power Catamarans for remote control of all new Power Catamaran (PC) Series vessels. All future power catamarans will be equipped with Dockmate TWIN remote control systems.

"Horizon Power Catamarans customizes every vessel to be the perfect blend of luxury and ease of use for each owner," said Marc Curreri, CEO, Dockmate US. "They are very selective of the components included in every build and we are grateful for the level of trust that they have shown in choosing our TWIN remote controls. We are confident that every new owner or captain will appreciate the degree of control Dockmate provides."

"We have been installing Dockmate remote controls on our Power Catamarans for some time now," said Richard Ford, CEO and Founder, The Powercat Company. "The reliability of the Dockmate system is unmatched and regardless of the size of the vessel, it makes shorthanded docking and anchoring a breeze."

Marked by excellence in quality and attention to detail, each yacht in the PC Series offers the high-end amenities and excellent seakeeping of a motoryacht along with the superior cruising stability, efficiency, shallow draft, and voluminous interior and exterior space of a luxury catamaran. Elegant in styling and décor and fitted to the highest standards, the PC Series yachts stand out in a class of their own as they are ideal for either owner/operation or as luxury crewed vessels.

Dockmate is a pocket-sized extension of the boat's controls that can mirror its response time and feel for a seamless user experience, and it can be customized to meet the specific preferences of individual boaters. Using the included software, installers can make adjustments to the throttle RPMs in order to ensure improved response time and boat handling to meet challenging conditions, such as in heavy wind or current.

Each Dockmate system includes a wireless, handheld transmitter that is rugged, waterproof and floats. This transmitter has an easy-grip rubber finish and includes a lanyard and wireless charger, as well as a plug-and-play receiver compatible with most brands of engines and thrusters. The Dockmate signal reaches up to 165-feet, which is by far the longest range available and does not require an expensive range repeater on boats over 80-feet, such as with competitive products.
