  1. Season 2 Launch at The Championship Dinner

Friday night will see the Season 2 Launch for the RS21 UK and Ireland, 5 stunning venues across UK and Ireland will play host to the RS21 fleet for the second season of one-design racing in the UK.

  2. The biggest yet and a cracking forecast

25 boats, over 100 competitors, and a one-design high-performance keelboat is a pretty serious combo. With a boat designed to remove the rules grey-areas and ensure the best team on the day takes home the trophy we should see a week of super-tight racing in the western Solent.

  3. New all-inclusive event concept

More than the sailing, this year's Nationals is our first 'all-inclusive event', with pontoon parties, evening food, and free personal photography all totally included. Added to which the RS team will be on hand throughout to guide competitors new and old through their RS21 journeys. With no-one left behind the Nationals will see over 100 competitors enjoy a fabulous event on and off the water.

  4. The Pink Party

Mermaid Gin, the international gin brand from the Isle of Wight Distillery have come on-board as class partners for 2023 and 2024. The Nationals will see the first 'Pink-Party' hosted by Mermaid Pink Gin, with free drinks for competitors when they return to shore after the first day of competition.

  5. Bye-bye old tech, hello to a faster more sustainable future

The days of needing enough ribs to invade France, and tackle that could anchor the QE2 are numbered. This week the RS21 class mark layers will use Smartmarks for the first time. This means faster turnarounds, accurate courses, and less ribs. For media and safety, a Pulse63 from RS Electric Boats will be afloat throughout the championships to capture the action.
