It was a frustrating day of waiting at Loch Lomond Sailing Club for day two of the International Canoe National Championships.

An initial one hour postponement was signalled in the morning which was then extended to an indefinite postponement before all racing was eventually called off for the day shortly after 3pm.

With racing abandoned the focus turned to next year's World Championships, where our German visitors shared details of the event that will form part of Travemunde Woche in 2024. For this 2024 event the Canoes will have a single camp / boat park right on the beach front, ideally suited for those who like to tinker with their boats late into the day.

Thankfully the weather forecast looks much more promising for the remaining two days of this event with a 12 knot southerly due for Friday. The Race Officer has adjusted the schedule to try and fit in four races, which will be enough to complete the series needed to crown a new UK National Champion, since last year's victor Gaz Caldwell is away.
