Everything is set in Riva del Garda where, starting tomorrow, July 21st, a high-level fleet will take part at the Melges24Tour Act 2 - Italian National Championship, an event organized by world-famous Fraglia Vela Riva, valid as the sixth event of the freshly renewed Melges 24 European Sailing Series, now based on a thirteen-events calendar spreader all over Europe.

The International Melges 24 Class Association has a special legacy with the organizing yacht club, that in the past seasons well managed some events which became milestones in the class history, such as the 2018 Europeans and several Acts of the Melges 24 European Sailing Series.

Although the recent Melges 24 World Championship held in Middelfart, Denmark drained the fleet of energy and resources, some top teams have not betrayed the call of the Wind Factory of Garda Lake. Among them Michael Goldfarb's War Canoe (USA), eighth overall in Denmark with Chris Rast at the helm, and Michael Tarabochia's White Room (GER) with Luis Tarabochia at the helm, sixth overall at the Worlds and second among the Corinthian.

Two boats were also involved in some high-rank fight for the Melges 24 European Sailing Series provisional standings, where another top player is Akos Csolto's Chinook (HUN) close to the Top Ten in Middefart and present in Riva.

To underline the value of the fleet that will animate the event, the attendance of the reigning European Champion Michele Paoletti's Strambapapà (ITA), crewing with former Italian olympian, and wife, Giovanna Micol; Sergio Caramel's Arkanoe by Montura (ITA), Paolo Brescia's Melgina (ITA), and Marco Zammarchi's Taki 4 (ITA) with Niccolo Bertola at the helm, former three-times Melges 24 Corinthian World Champion.

Ready to go on Friday morning at 13 with the first warning signal. The series, which ends on Sunday, July 23rd no later than 14.30, will count on eight races with a discard to be considered after the end of the fifth race.
