Suntex Marina Investors, LLC (Suntex), the premier owner and operator of best-in-class marina properties, announced today it has taken its support of the charitable organization, Folds of Honor to a new level with its company-wide Folds of Honor Day.

Held on June 24, 2023, Suntex Marinas headquarters orchestrated a company-wide event across all of its marinas to raise funds and awareness for the organization.

Folds of Honor is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization that provides educational scholarships to the spouses and children of fallen or wounded service members. The educational scholarships provided by Folds of Honor support private school tuition or tutoring in grades K-12, as well as post-secondary tuition (two- or four-year college/university, technical or trade school). Since its inception in 2007, Folds of Honor has awarded over 35,000 scholarships totaling over $160 million in all 50 states.

Beginning in 2012, Suntex Marinas has supported Folds of Honor in multiple annual events across its marinas throughout the country. Annually, each marina location asks their guests to contribute, and many hold independent events for their customers and community, including cookouts, raffles, "Dogs for Donations" and "Putting for Patriots." In 2018, at the grand opening of the recently acquired Miami Beach Marina, a silent auction was held on behalf of Folds of Honor with Lt. Col Dan Rooney, the Founder of the organization, in attendance. In 2019, Suntex Marinas and partners raffled a brand new 20-foot Bayliner deckboat, trailer and 150HP Mercury motor to boost its fundraising efforts. In 2021 Johnny Powers and his wife Cintia were Folds of Honor North Texas Gala Honorary Chairs culminating in a $250K donation resulting in the title sponsorship of the gala. In total these efforts have evolved into over a million-dollar fund-raising initiative. This year, as an example of some of the activities each marina hosted, Legendary Marina in Destin, Florida hosted Boats, Boots and BBQ! and Lazy Days at Holiday Marina in Buford, GA hosted a car show with food, raffles, music and drinks.

"We are always so grateful to our guests and staff for their constant support of our efforts to help Folds of Honor," said Bryan Redmond, CEO, Suntex Marinas. "We are humbled by the work that this amazing organization and its team does on a regular basis. We are proud to be their partner in this worthy cause."

The Suntex portfolio includes marinas located in Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Oklahoma, Texas, Tennessee and Virginia.
