The annual photo competition dedicated to the sport of sailing is proud to launch its 14th edition.

Professional photographers from all over the world are invited to submit their best image taken between October 10, 2022 and October 8, 2023. The 80 best images selected by the international jury will be published on the event website on October 13, allowing the public to vote for the Public Award.

The top 20 images will be exhibited during World Sailings annual conference on November 13-18, as well as at METSTRADE Amsterdam (November 15-17). Delegates from both events will be asked to vote for the Delegates Award.

"The exhibition of the 20 best images at World Sailings' annual conference and at METSTRADE, followed by the prize-giving ceremony open to the public, will provide an extraordinary and unprecedented exposure to the worlds best sailing photographers, in front of a particularly discerning public. We are extremely pleased to be announcing this partnership with METSTRADE today," enthuses Bernard Schopfer, the organiser of the award.

Niels Klarenbeek, Show Director METSTRADE, said: We are thrilled to welcome the Mirabaud Yacht Racing Image competition to METSTRADE 2023. The convergence of these two prestigious events is a testament to the synergy between the marine industry and the captivating world of yacht racing photography. With the presence of numerous nautical journalists in attendance, METSTRADE is the logical place to stage this extraordinary photo competition."

Launched in 2010, the Mirabaud Yacht Racing Image award reassembles the worlds best yacht racing photographers. No less than 150 photographers representing 29 nationalities submitted an image for the award in 2022.

"We are delighted to see the Mirabaud Yacht Racing Image Award continue to evolve. The events visibility and the return provided to yacht racing photographers will significantly increase thanks to this new partnership with the world's largest marine equipment trade show. We are pleased to contribute to this development", said Nicolas Mirabaud, Managing Partner of the Mirabaud Group.

The 2023 prize giving will take place during a specific reception at METSTRADE on November 16 end-afternoon in front of members of the international marine industry and yacht racing photographers from all over the world.
