Day 2 of Raid Quiberon regatta presented its challenges for the Live Ocean Racing team who are in France competing in the ETF26 Series second for the 2023 season.

They opened with a 3rd then a 4th in the first two races of the day.

Liv Mackay reports; "We broke our main halyard before the start, fixed it and made racing. We had two reasonable races and felt like we were going well but broke the halyard again just before the finish in the third race."

Despite dropping some places they finished the race in 6th but had to sit out the next race. The team managed another repair and were able to complete the fifth race of the day - race 10 in the series.

After Day 2 the Live Ocean Racing tram are lying 5th in the standings.

Seb Menzies reports, "It was a bit of a mixed bag today. We had some gear breakages. We managed to snap the main halyard twice. For the second time, having to capsize so we could re-run it and we managed to get there for the last race.

"The morale is still high, and we're ready to go hit it hard tomorrow."
