The first Legal Symposium organised by Benetti, held on May 8th and 9th in Castagneto Carducci (Livorno) and at Benetti's Livorno yard, was attended by partners from major international law firms together with the Yard's management and in-house legal team.

The aim of this intensive two-day round of meetings, conferences and debates was to share experiences and opinions on the main legal issues currently animating the world of yachting in the field of contracts and international compliance.

The high-calibre lawyers from various countries who spoke at the symposium on legal strategies for the yachting industry included Robb Maass of Alley, Maass, Rogers & Lindsay P.A, Claudia Casalis and Umberto Bonavita of Robert Allen Law, Jay Tooker of Holman Fenwick & William, David Reardon of Hill Dickinson Monaco S.A.M., Ezio dal Maso and Sean Gibbons of Stephenson Harwood and Roberto Longanesi Cattani of the eponymous firm, among others.

"Given our role as the world's top superyacht builder," said Azimut|Benetti CEO Marco Valle, "we've always tried to nurture growth and innovation in the yachting market. And given that international contract law is so important in our relations with customers, we're grateful to our professionals for providing invaluable insights and guidance for the whole sector at this, our first meeting".
