Brad Marsh is named as Chief Technology Officer, the latest powerhouse acquisition by Doyle Sails.

Brad will lead the global design and project management teams, including research and product development; he will also be a solid addition to the Doyle Sails senior leadership team.

Doyle Sails International’s CEO, Mike Sanderson, has known Brad for several years both as a sailor and a friend and comments, “For Doyle Sails, having the right people has been critical to delivering on the company’s long-term strategy, and there is no doubt that Brad is going to be an incredibly valuable member of our team. Brad’s industry experience is second to none; his skill as a professional sailor and pragmatic approach will further deepen our leadership group’s strength, and I am really looking forward to working with him as part of our fantastic group of people”.

As a highly regarded and internationally acclaimed professional sailor, Brad brings a unique mix of high-level management experience and a complete understanding of Grand Prix sailing – he also strengthens the ‘by sailors, for sailors’ ethos for which Doyle Sails is renowned. In 2012, Brad was part of the winning crew member of the Volvo Ocean Race aboard Groupama 4 and continues to sail professionally and hold senior roles within many Maxi and Grand Prix teams. Brad joins Doyle Sails from his most recent position as Tech Team Director for SailGP, which through a centralised service, manages all of the logistics of the worldwide event and includes the responsibility of making sure all teams are ultimately ready to race.

“Joining Doyle Sails is an opportunity I am very excited about. As a customer and long-time follower of Doyle Sails, I have observed the company lead our industry with new technology and innovation. As sailors, we all like to develop and improve the tools we use in our sport. Doyle Sails has proven its commitment to every sailor by ensuring that all its customers gain from the best technology available for their project. I look forward to bringing a fresh approach and some new ideas to the team whilst also learning a new dimension of our industry”, says Marsh.

Through the Doyle Sails partnership with SailGP as the official sailmaker to the league, Brad Marsh has gained an important understanding of the company, the operations, the people and its values ahead of starting in his new role officially on the 9th May 2023.
