Dr Khamis Al Jabri, Chief Executive Officer of Oman Sail, has been named in the top rated 100 Arabian CEOs of the year by the G2T Global Awards. Dr Al Jabri joins a group of leaders from across the region, representing a diverse variety of sectors including energy, industry, tourism, education, food production, health and sport. The announcement was made at the official G2T Global Awards ceremony that took place in Marrakech, Morocco on 27 April.

Since taking office in 2020, Dr Al Jabri has successfully led Oman Sail to a number of notable achievements. These include enabling Oman Sail to deliver socio-economic benefits for Oman through community programmes, the investment in sport development and attracting international events to be hosted in Oman. Dr Al Jabri played an instrumental role in leading the sailing teams to continued excellence and success as well as enhancing community programmes that introduce the sport of sailing to wider audiences. Several national, regional, and prestigious international events in Oman since 2020, such as the Youth Sailing World Championship in 2021 and the RS Venture Connect World Championship in 2022 - the first-ever exclusively para-sailing event to be staged in Oman. Moreover, Dr Khamis's leadership enabled Oman Sail to share its expertise with the sporting community, joining hands with World Athletics and Oman Athletic Association to bring the World Race Walking Team Championships 2022 and with the International Table Tennis Federation and Oman Table Tennis Federation to host the World Veteran Table Tennis Championships 2023 in Muscat.

At the ceremony in Morocco, Dr Khamis Al Jabri commented, "It is a huge honour to be included in this year's Best 100 Arabian CEOs and join a group of dynamic, innovative, and high-achieving leaders from across the region. This is an achievement to be shared throughout the organisation because without the tireless efforts of the dedicated team at Oman Sail we would not have accomplished the feats we have over the past year. The talent within the company creates unique opportunities to plan and lead in a variety of directions with complete confidence that the team will deliver an exceptional event."

"Oman Sail will continue to add to our reputation as a prominent figure in the community, and our mission to rekindle Oman's maritime heritage, as we work together to develop the capacity of Omanis in sailing and para sailing, preserving the environment, teaching transferable skills and flying the flag of Oman proudly around the world," he added.

The Global 2T Group was founded in 2015 and has grown to become a leader in the market for tailored professional training and consultancy, specialising in market research and keeping clients ahead of the curve in order to achieve their targets. The G2T Global Awards celebrate the achievement across the Arab world by recognising individuals and organisations, and companies that have made significant contributions to their respective industries and have had a positive impact on society. The awards ceremony helps C-level executives build worthwhile personal and professional connections, develop partnerships, and drive economic growth across all economic sectors.
