Southeast Asia Yachting Conference Brings Top Industry Experts Together

by Asia Yacht Press 24 Apr 2023 16:50 BST 26 April 2023

It's been three long years since Asia's yachting professionals gathered together to discuss issues facing the industry. Yachts sales are at an all-time high, and chartering is gaining popularity with a new Asian audience who have discovered the delights of the nautical lifestyle. Keynote speaker, Darren Vaux, President of ICOMIA, is keen to engage with the emerging yachting communities in Southeast Asia, as he is well aware that the growth of these markets will play an important role in the sustainability and prosperity of the industry in the future. Host Sponsor of the conference, ONE 15 Marina Chairman Arthur Tay, will welcome the delegates to the day long proceedings. MC Wicky Sundram, a long-term member of the Asian yachting community, will introduce the 22 international and local speakers and panellists.

The morning session focuses on four SEA countries: Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia with local experts sharing their knowledge on topics that include: immigration policies and procedures, cruising regulations, marinas, marine infrastructure, shipyards and refit facilities, yachting events, conferences, festivals, and regattas.
