On Sunday 7th May the EAORA season starts with the traditional race from Mersea to Burnham being the RBYC's Ralph Herring Race, followed by the WMYC's Pattinson Cup race back to Mersea on Monday 8th.
This year we are being joined by a few of the MOCRA multihulls. If you haven't raced EAORA before the safety regulations are ONLY Category 4 plus Cat 3 safety Harnesses for these first two coastal races.
This is a fantastic opportunity to blow away the cobwebs and sail between the River Blackwater and the River Crouch over the bank holiday weekend. Our member clubs provide the start and finish committee boats and the catering facilities at either the West Mersea Yacht Club or Royal Burnham Yacht Club are definitely some of the best clubs for either pre or post race. There is still time to enter.
