The organising committee of the 75th Edinburgh Cup incorporating the International Dragon UK Grand Prix is delighted to announce that North Sails will be supporting the event. North Sails will provide an overnight sail repair service for the teams through its Cowes loft.

In addition, they are offering a secure storage facility at their site in Gosport (only a short drive from both the Portsmouth Cross Channel and Isle of Wight ferry terminals) for visiting Edinburgh Cup teams who wish to arrive early and/or plan to participate in the Dragon Gold Cup in Torquay from 7 to 16 September and wish to leave their boats in the UK between events.

"North Sails is proud of its long association with the International Dragon. Whether its cruising with family, racing at local and national level or competing on the international circuit, North Sails provides the products and support all Dragon sailors need. Our track record of success in the class is second to none and we are very pleased to be part of the landmark 75th Edinburgh Cup." commented Charlie Cumbley of North Sails UK

The International Dragon fleet is expected to be present in the UK in significant numbers this summer with the option to participate in three major events on offer. First up is Cowes Week which runs from 29 July to 4 August. The Edinburgh Cup is also in Cowes and will run from 15 to 18 August 2023, with pre-event registration and measurement taking place on 13 and 14 August. Finally, the Gold Cup will be raced off Torquay from 7 to 16 September.

"Securing the support of North Sails is a terrific addition to this very special edition of the Edinburgh Cup and we are thrilled to have them on board." Noted 75th Edinburgh Cup Regatta Chair Gavia Wilkinson-Cox. "With the regatta also incorporating the penultimate leg of the European Grand Prix Series we are expecting a higher than usual international attendance and are working hard to ensure our visitors have the best possible regatta experience.

"A good overnight regatta sail repair service is vital to this and with North's loft in Cowes on standby we couldn't be in better hands. The offer of boat storage at their secure facility in Gosport between the Edinburgh Cup and Gold Cup is also invaluable, as many of our international visitors are keen to take advantage of the multi-event opportunities."
