Parkstone Yacht Club is delighted to announce that Salcombe Distilling Co. will be title sponsor of the Spring Yacht Regatta, which takes place on 7th and 8th May 2023.

It is particularly fitting that Salcombe Distilling Co. is sponsoring the event, noting the company's nautical heritage. It is one of the very few waterside distilleries in the world, directly accessible by boat! To help fund projects to protect and regenerate vital marine habitats, the company donates 1% of its revenue from bottle sales in the UK to the Marine Conservation Society.

The regatta offers racing in the idyllic location of Poole Bay. Class 1 will be for IRC-rated yachts (0.930 and above), with Class 2 racing under VPRS. Non-spinnaker yachts are also welcome and will make up VPRS Class 3. The planned schedule is for 3 or 4 races on Sunday and 2 or 3 races on Monday. The Race Officer will be Andrew Pearce (owner/skipper of the Fast 40+ "Magnum") and courses will be a combination of windward/leeward, triangular, and around fixed marks.

The prize-giving will be held after racing on Monday, in Parkstone Yacht Club's excellent clubhouse. In addition to Salcombe Distilling Co's generous sponsorship, which includes bottles of Salcombe gin for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each class, further prizes will be provided by Quay West Chandlery.
