Chew Valley Lake Sailing Club is hosting the very first Gul Golden Dolphin Event of 2023 on the 1st & 2nd April, a joint two day event with the Scorpion Fleet.

Apparently it has been confirmed that some of the locals have dusted off some boats and are hoping that they can do quite well, 'Southpaws' in particular is hoping that they can take a prize or two over the weekend, so maybe its worth coming along to give them a good run for their money? The event is set to be a great start to the series and as always its going to be as social as it is about the racing.

Early entry is £35, or £40 on the day. Camper vans welcome Saturday night at the club, however camping is not possible on-site. My extreme local knowledge (Google maps) shows that there are a good selection of places to stay nearby, so there are options!

Three back-to-back races on both days, and you can enter now here on webcollect (enter early, use the saving for beer?!).

The Fireball fleet are very pleased to be able to announce that Gul Watersports once again are sponsoring the the Golden Dolphin Series. Due to extreme generosity by Gul, a large proportion of the Fireball fleet are now wearing Gul kit, and it does work well!

There are still Fireball sailors that do not have anything from Gul yet; which is OK as they are offering up vouchers for winners in Gold, Silver & Bronze fleet at Chew Valley.

I think it going to be a great event - be nice to see some friendly faces again!
