Entries open for Gill Optimist Easter Egg and Youth Regatta at Grafham Water SC

Entries are now open for the popular Gill Optimist Easter Egg and Youth Regatta being held at Grafham Water SC on Easter weekend 7/8th April.

Now in its 9th year, the event is aimed at encouraging Youth sailors under 19 years old to gain experience in open meetings in a friendly and relaxed environment.

Designed to be as fun and welcoming as possible, the event is open to all boats including Optimists, Mirrors, Cadets, Toppers, Fevas, Lasers/ILCAs, RS200 etc. There will be two Optimist fleets and a handicap fleet. 3 races are planned on Friday and 3 on Saturday.

On-water coaching will be provided and Easter Eggs will be distributed. The event is being sponsored by Gill and Gill products will be awarded to the inners.

Entry before 4th April costs £32 per boat and is now open here. Camping is available on-site. Lunch and drinks will be available and an evening meal may be arranged, subject to demand.

Grafham Water SC is based in Cambridgeshire and offers some of the best inland sailing in the country. The club is open to all classes of boat with strong fleets of Sprint 15's, catamarans, Lasers/ILCAs, Solos, D-Zeros, RSs and Flying Fifteens.
