Gosport based Seldén Mast is delighted to announce it has been appointed by Hadron Dinghies Ltd as the spar supplier to the Hadron H2 class.

Announced at the recent RYA Dinghy & Waterports Show and effective immediately, Seldén will supply the Hadron H2 class with its carbon S2 dinghy mast and oval B086 boom.

"While investigating a change in mast supplier to a UK based manufacturer as well as increase volume, we approached Seldén to develop a mast to replicate the bend characteristics of the original mast," says Keith Callaghan, Director of Hadron Dinghies.

"Following rigorous testing with the current H2 National Champion, Nick Craig, who said it 'looks identical, if you didn't know it was different you wouldn't notice', we were pleased to issue the license to manufacture to Seldén, who has worked closely with us at all stages. We look forward to a long association with the team, which includes development of future projects."

"With its narrow round section and long top taper, the S2 mast blades the sail off in a predictable manner, suiting the H2 enormously as well as offering the class an excellent performance to price ratio.

"The testing program proved that, performance wise, any effect on the class has been minimised. And going forward, with our accurate CNC manufacturing processes repeatedly producing identical spars for the H2 class, the fleet can be sure of a level playing field from an equipment perspective."

Seldén will be supplying 24 masts per year to the class initially. Class sailors also have the option of entirely fitting out their Hadron H2 dinghies with Seldén dinghy specific deck hardware, including its new light weight and durable soft attachment blocks.
