With a strong breeze forecast 12 eager sailors from across the South attended the last of the ITCA (GBR) winter training sessions at Spinnaker SC on February 18th.

Sailor ages ranged from 10 to 14 years old and all had a fabulous day under the watchful eyes of Imogen Kemp and Olle Hale. The day started with some backwards sailing activities. Even those for whom this was a new experience quickly got the hang of it. They were soon zooming backwards down the lake, much to the amusement of the adults watching from the warmth of the clubhouse.

As the wind and particularly the gusts built the coaches had them holding line starts before rounding out with some very informal racing. Spinnaker SC as always were great hosts and we're looking forward to being back at the club next month for the first weekend of our "summer" programme.
