PAROC, the leading manufacturer of energy-efficient and fire-safe insulation solutions of stonewool has launched the Marine Installation Guidebook specifically detailing stonewool marine insulation options. The guide is designed to help installers, designers, shipyards, and shipowners choose the best solution for marine insulation to protect decks and bulkheads, while improving the experience onboard.

"Feedback from our customers and installers highlighted the need for a comprehensive guide to marine insulation. Choosing the right marine insulation can make a significant difference to the environment and experience onboard. However, it can be difficult to keep abreast with all of the different options available, and that's exactly what the Marine Installation Guidebook has been designed to address," explains Juha Jokinen, Segment Manager Marine at PAROC.

The Marine Installation Guidebook covers different applications supported by stonewool marine insulation (according to IMO FTPCode2010 and the Marine Equipment Directive). Additionally, the Guide includes details and advice on installing insulation on decks and bulkheads, along with application guides for pins and stiffeners that show the different methods that can be used.

Simplicity was a key focus for the authors of the Marine Installation Guidebook so it features at-a-glance graphics that detail the main benefits, plus the thermal and density features of each product (including acoustics and fire performance). Products are also categorised by family group and application to make the Guide easier to navigate. Hyperlinks and QR codes direct readers to further information on the product and its applications if needed. This has the added benefit of making the Guide accessible to all knowledge and experience levels.

The Marine Installation Guidebook provides a wealth of useful information for installers, designers, shipyards and shipowners to help their next marine installation go smoothly.
