Last weekend in January Spinnaker Sailing Club hosted the Wessex Winter Warmer with 20 teams in attendance. Saturday was frustrating as we waited for the wind, and got no racing in.

Sunday saw a short delay but the wind did fill in and we managed 100 races before Paddington Bears and RTYC White went into a first-to-three-wins final.

Paddington Bears took the first race 1,2,5 but RTYC came back in the second race with a 1,4,5 so it was all to play for in the final race.

This went right down to the last beat and saw the Royal Thames team of Dom Lewis, James Hammett, Tommy Darling, Bethan Matthew, Lainey Terkelsen, Gemma Keers take the win with a 1,4,5.

After racing Spinnaker had a ceremony to christen their new committee vessels Tiggy and Greg in honour of the Ansells, who over the years had done so much for team tacing at the club.
