STOPOVER EPISODE 2
Welcome to Cabo Verde
In this second episode of the STOPOVER series, come and join us in the country of Cesária Évora, the Barefoot Diva. Despite the apparent relaxed atmosphere, the IMOCA crews were not allowed to wind down, as the rule in Cape Verde was very strict - only the sailors were allowed to prepare the boat for the second leg...
This second episode of the documentary series was produced by IMOCA, in collaboration with Ouest-France and directed by polaRYSE, transports you into the world of the teams, between repairs and preparation for the Southern Atlantic descent.

We find our IMOCA teams, 1,900 miles further south and after five days of breathless sailing from Alicante. Torn sails, winches to be dismantled, exhaustion, this "pit stop" in the original format on the African archipelago allowing us to discover the sailors from another angle. It is also where the first crew changes take place...

Eight episodes of STOPOVER

The STOPOVER series spans eight episodes of around twenty minutes filmed at the start and at each stopover, which explore the repercussions of the previous leg and anticipate the next. Families, replacements, injury or repairs, the race continues in the hands of the shore team and in the minds of the sailors. We follow the characters we discover and to whom we development an attachment. We get a chance to go into the locker room of teams negotiating one of the craziest playgrounds imaginable.
