EAORA 2023 Race Programme

East Anglian Offshore Racing Association sponsored by DXB Pump & Power have dates for 2023 including Fastnet / RORC qualifiers.

The programme for 2023 has been published. Provisional dates subject to AGM approval (although we are not expecting them to change).

The programme is of a similar format to previous years, which includes two RORC races which are Fastnet Qualifiers. Mid-June we are having our Offshore Regatta from Harwich to Ostend and then on to Ramsgate, finishing back at Harwich on the Sunday.

We have decided to also race up to Lowestoft on the 1st July (something we haven't done for many years) and as a committee we appreciate other major events on the East Coast, so we have feeder races from Harwich to Ramsgate for Ramsgate week and from the Medway to Burnham for Burnham week and therefore yachts are in the right place for the prestigious Town Cup and Houghton Cup. As always, the late season dash across to Ostend always seems to be our points decider.

Competitors are advised to look at our website nearer the time to double check the safety requirements as they may be changing slightly for our coastal racing.

East Anglian has been established since the early 1950's and the silverware to be won is by far some of the nicest trophies out there. We enjoy a great social scene, and our member clubs always welcome us with good food and a party atmosphere.

Fourteen boats started the RORC East Coast Race Fourteen boats started the RORC East Coast Race, the 120 mile Fastnet qualifier from Harwich to Ostend on Thursday June 26. Warrior EAORA top scoring boat in North Sea Race
Winning the Charlie Mills Memorial Trophy Simon Farren's A40 Warrior, co-skippered by Ben Peter, won class two in ther RORC North Sea Race - so winning the Charlie Mills Memorial Trophy for the highest placed EAORA boat in the race. Posted on 4 Jun 2025

Wind farms, whiskers, winning moves After time correction, Rob Craigie's Sun Fast 3600 Bellino, racing double-handed with co-skipper RORC Commodore Deb Fish, was the winner by just 53 seconds after 22 hours of racing. Posted on 1 Jun 2025
Ralph Herring Trophy and Pattinson Cup
A double win for West Mersea YC boats in the first two EAORA races On May 10 and 11 the first two East Anglian Offshore Racing Association races took place in unbroken sunshine. First came the Royal Burnham YC's Ralph Herring trophy - from West Mersea to Burnham on Crouch. Posted on 22 May 2025
Entries open for EAORA's Offshore Regatta
4-day event in June will go from Harwich to Ostend Entries are now open for the East Anglian Offshore Racing Association's four-day Offshore Regatta. On Thursday June 26 two fleets will race from Harwich to Ostend. All the yachts will enjoy time ashore with lay day in Ostend on the Friday. Posted on 14 Mar 2025
EAORA End of Season Prizegiving and AGM
