2000 class sailing programme for 2023

The 2000 Class have announced the programme for Fast Family Fun in 2023 - familiar events mixed with a brand new series and interesting and exciting new venues for racing, learning and messing about!

Its all on the 2000 class website and on Facebook.

Highlights:

  • West Country Boat Repairs' Millennium Series has 8 rounds and takes in a new venue at lovely Herne Bay SC, north Kent coast
  • A new venue for the National Championships at Keyhaven YC, west Solent bordering the New Forest.
  • A new Latitude Series of 5 rounds on inland and coastal waters convenient to sailors north of Birmingham
  • Training and coaching events
  • A "Coronation Cruise" around Rutland Water on the Coronation Monday Bank Holiday 8th May!
  • A new venue at Bristol Corinthian YC for the Inland Championships
It all makes 2023 a year to look forward to some Fast Family Fun in your RS2000!

Lots of fun in breezy conditions for the West Country Boat Repairs Millennium Series event The final leg of the 2000 Millennium Series, sponsored by West Country Boat Repairs, at Bough Beech on Oct 15th proved to be an action packed open. Rooster 2000 Class Inlands at Weir Wood
27 boats gather over the weekend 27 boats gathered at Weir Wood Sailing Club for the 2000 Inland Championship 2022. The forecast had been very uncertain all week but Saturday brought near perfect conditions with a F3-4 blowing straight down the reservoir. Posted on 4 Oct 2022

Astral Azure 2000 class Nationals at Castle Cove
Olympian Lijia Xu completes her first event in a boat with shrouds Castle Cove showed how to run a National Championships when they laid on champagne conditions, tremendous race management and wonderful relaxed shore back up for the Astral Azure 2000 Nationals.
