In the classroom, before going out, we talked about the different types of days (condition wise). We started off Saturday morning on the water focusing on trigger pulls and mainly the distance and time they take us.
After this we split up into pairs, where we had to go either up the left, right or middle of the beat. We then had to feedback to our coaches Sally and James which side we thought worked best.
At the end of the day we had to decide what type of day it was - it was a pressure and shift type of day. In the evening, we all ate together in the clubhouse and played table football, which was fun.
Sunday was freezing on the water!
We started off with rabbit runs to help improve our boat speed, which really helped. In the afternoon, we focused on the strategy part of the beat, doing little races. Finally, we finished off the weekend with a few races with the 4.2s. Then we went in and warmed up and had a debrief about how we thought the weekend went.
Looking forward to the next training weekend.
