The RS Class Association are delighted to announce that Rope4Boats will be the title sponsor of the popular Rope4Boats RS400 Southern Tour 2023.

Thanks to the hard work of RS400 Southern Rep, Chris Eames and the co-operation of our host clubs, the dates for the 7 event tour have already been published on the RS400 calendar.

The tour starts at QMSC with a train and race weekend, perfect for those new to the boat or to the tour as well as for seasoned sailors to kick start their season. There will be a supply of Rope4Boats RS400 specific rope kits available for anyone wishing to upgrade or replace items during the event.

Following successful sponsorship of the Inland Championships in 2021 and 2022, the dinghy sailing rope specialists Rope4Boats have also extended their sponsorship for another year and will be title sponsors for the Rope4Boats RS100, RS200 and RS800 Inlands at Grafham Water SC and Rope4Boats RS100 and RS700 Inlands at Chew Valley.

As well as supplying a large range of rope by the metre, Rope4Boats also make replacement simple by offering a 'Rope by Class' menu where sailors can select from a range of pre-cut class legal options. For example RS400 sailors can select a 1:1 or 2:1 dyneema main halyard, or a standard 8mm evo performance mainsheet, or a race upgrade swiftcord mainsheet, in a variety of colours, including RS magenta - easy gift options for your Christmas list!

Ian Turnbull, owner of Rope4Boats, commented "We enjoy supporting the RS Class Association events and working with sailors to develop the rope packages that we offer on our website. We are pleased to be extending the support to the RS400 Southern Tour and giving more sailors the opportunity to find out how much difference upgraded and bespoke ropes can make."

Sally Campbell, RS Class Association Secretary said "We would like to thank Ian for his support in 2022 and for this commitment for 2023. We very much like to work with small companies, run by dinghy sailors for dinghy sailors and appreciate the support of Rope4Boats - the prizes will be very welcome at the events, but beyond that we also value the work Ian has done to set up a range of easy purchase options for sailors who prefer to buy a race-ready solution, whilst still retaining the choice for those who prefer to buy the rope from scratch."
