The Hong Kong Sailing Federation in conjunction with co-organiser the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club and the International 29er Association are pleased to announce the 7th edition of the Sun Hung Kai & Co. Hong Kong Race Week 2023, running 14 to 19 February 2023.

Serving as a significant platform for promising Asian sailors, we are pleased to announce that the regatta will incorporate the inaugural 2023 29er Asian Championship - a milestone in the development of regional efforts to nurture future Asian Games and Olympic sailors.

Sun Hung Kai & Co. Hong Kong Race Week 2023 will again be a testing ground for Asian teams in their quest to prepare for the forthcoming Hangzhou Asian Games, while also serving as a qualifying event to major international regattas around the world.

Sun Hung Kai & Co. Hong Kong Race Week Chairman, Peter Davies commented that following the wave of momentum created by the Hong Kong Sailing Team at the Tokyo Olympic Games, he looks forward to seeing a reinvigorated event in 2023, with an emphatic focus on promoting regional collaboration in youth sailing. He warmly welcomes back past competitors and new sailors alike to compete in the 2023 regatta.

10 classifications will be on offer to compete in for the 2023 edition of the event, including 29er, 2.4mR, ILCA 4, ILCA 6, Optimist Main Fleet, Optimist Intermediate Fleet, RS Feva along with development fleets of Optimist Green Fleet, Fusion Green Fleet and Pico Green Fleet.

Sailors will race on Hong Kong's renowned world-class racetracks located in Repulse Bay, Deep Water Bay, Stanley, Tai Tam and Beaufort Island - racetracks of the 2018 29er World Championship and the 2017 Optimist Asian and Oceanian Championship.

Entry is now open - Save the date and join us for some of the best racing in Asia www.hongkongraceweek.com
