Registration now open for Steve Nicholson Memorial Trophy event at Northampton Sailing Club

Northampton Sailing Club is delighted to announce the Steve Nicholson Memorial Trophy event is back in 2023, with headline sponsor Pinnell & Bax. It will take place on Saturday 11th February.

The Steve Nicholson Trophy is one of the most well-known winter regattas in the UK and has been well supported in the past. The event is raced in aid of the Asthma & Lung UK charity in memory of Steve, who was a popular sailor and member at Northampton Sailing Club and well respected in the sailing world.

The event, which has been held on an annual basis since 2002 is a popular winter event for single and double handers with a reputation of providing great racing. It is raced in two separate fleets with an overall winner of the title.

Entry fees are £30 for double-handers and £25 for single-handers.

  • Briefing all fleets takes place at 10:00am
  • Single handlers: 2 races, with a 10:30 start
  • Double handlers: 2 races, with an 11:30 start (approx)
