SailGP Great Britain hold a five point lead in the overall standings after the first day of racing at SailGP in Dubai.

The racing was stage in light conditions, with the AC50's sailing with the biggest wingsail option, but with a crew of six for the first two races.

The AC50s rarely foiled, with with the top ranked team only scoring a foiling percentage of 12%, all the rest were in single digits.

Behind SailGP Great Britain, six teams are covered by just 2pts.

Two more fleet races are scheduled for Day 2, with the top three overall progressing to a winner takes all Final.

Stronger winds are forecast for Day 2 of SailGP Dubai.

Points table after three races.

  • GBR 25pts
  • USA 20pts
  • NZL 20pts
  • FRA 19pts
  • CAN 19pts
  • SUI 18pts
  • DEN 18pts
  • AUS 13pts
  • ESP 10pts
