Barton Marine to launch three new product lines at METSTRADE 2022

by Barton Marine 11 Nov 2022 08:15 GMT 15-17 November 2022

Barton Marine will be launching three new product lines for the 2023 season and introducing two new team members to the global marine market at METSTRADE in Amsterdam from the 15th to 17th November. With an ethos of constant innovation, Barton strives to push forward and expand their extensive range of deck hardware with useful additions each year at the show. 2022 is no exception with three products being introduced.

SkyLock Block 800 builds upon the unique and original self-locking block found in the SkyDock storage system and available for sale and use separately with a SWL of 80kg. The 800 is engineered for a huge SWL of 800kg, working with lines of between 8 - 12mm diameter. It is suitable and safe for all manner of lifting tasks in both the leisure and commercial environments. Robust 316 stainless steel construction and GRP reinforced nylon side plates make the new version a highly durable block with Barton's unique self-locking cam action built in for peace of mind when hauling seriously heavy items.

Windicator is a mechanical wind direction indicator for sailing dinghies and yachts. It is available in five versions, each individually optimised with mast or goose neck fittings for Optimists, Lasers, Aeros and Toppers, alongside two offshore racing models for yachts between four to eight meters and another for those over eight meters. The instrument is 100% accurate in two knots of wind, and manufactured with a highly durable construction, whilst weights have been kept to a minimum (22g-63.5g). The Windicator has been put through its paces on the racing circuit by many top New Zealand sailors for over thirty years and is highly rated for its accuracy and simplicity of use.

Barton Flush Mount Deck Plates with screw in fixing eyes are constructed of highly polished 316 grade stainless steel and are available in three sizes (M8, M10 and M12). Designed to remove trip hazards on the deck when not in use, the Barton Flush Mount Deck Plate has a sealed internal thread that prevents water ingress under the hull. With the removable fixing eye in place, a multitude of uses are possible including fixing deck mounted boarding ladders, boat tie downs and stand-up blocks, as well as securing life rafts and diving tanks into position. The deck plates have a SWL of 2500kg making them perfect for a huge variety of leisure and commercial uses.

Christian Brewer, Barton Marine Sales Manager said, "At Barton we aim to produce an extensive range of well-designed and innovative products to act as a one-stop-shop for owners of boats up to 50ft. We are excited to introduce these varied new product lines to meet the demands of the discerning sailor. The team have spent the last twelve months extensively testing these new additions to ensure they achieve Barton's high-quality standards, and we are delighted to be able to launch them at METSTRADE 2022."

As well as the current new products, the Barton team are looking to the future so will be showing and seeking feedback on a new design of T-track slider. With the block range having undergone a design upgrade in 2020, a fresh concept has been envisaged for the T-track sliders and industry opinion is sought prior to production. All the new products will be on display for show and tell on stand 01.478.

To help bring the new products and concepts to market around the world, Barton's new Chief Commercial Officer, Jeff Webber and Chief Operating Officer, John Navarro will also be at the show to meet the market and get to know customers from across the globe. If attending METSTRADE 22 in Amsterdam, make sure to visit the team on stand (01.478) and if around at 6pm on Tuesday 15th November, join their product launch drinks party.
