WASZP Queensland State Championships 2022 - Australian season in full swing

by WASZP class 25 Oct 2022 16:53 BST 22-23 October 2022

The inaugural Queensland State Championships was held over the weekend with a strong 13 boat fleet attending a wet, wild and windy Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron.

There is plenty of WASZP action happening around Australia as the countdown to the 2023 International WASZP Games in Sorrento is on!

New fleets are popping up around Australia, of particular interest is the Geelong fleet that has grown by 5 in very quick time. With more events coming up, we can expect a great fleet for the 2023 Australian WASZP National Championships in Perth on the Swan River.

Entries are now open and expectations are for a 45-50 boat fleet, with even an international flavour with some NZ sailors coming over to get a taste for the competition ahead of the Games in December 2023.
