BIA is pleased to welcome Stella Marine, Lightwave Yachts, Telwater, Riviera and Gold Coast City Marina as Industry Partners of the Boating Industry Academy.

These businesses are part of a growing cohort of members putting their support behind the project delivering a pipeline of talent for the industry.

As part of their involvement in the Academy, they will provide young people with an opportunity to immerse themselves in the boating industry through site visits, excursions, extensive work experience and practical learning as they complete their final years of schooling.

The second Open Day for the Academy was held on the 6 October and had an excellent turnout, with 21 families attending resulting in several applications.

The session provided the opportunity for students and their parents to learn more about the Academy and the boating industry, and to talk with key boating and marine employers about the various career pathways available.

The next Open Day will be held on 9 November. Download the promotional materials here.

For more information about the Academy launching next year visit the Australian Industry Trade College website.
