Hadron H2 Inland Championship 2022 at Notts County Sailing Club

by Keith Callaghan 2 Oct 2022 20:09 BST 1 October 2022

Richard Le Mare, sailing his new sparkly purple H2, is the new Inland Champion after winning all 3 races in the one day event. He didn't have it all his own way, though, as Tim Garvin chased him all the way in each race, with the ever-consistent Andrew McGaw not far behind.

Due to late vacations and the location being a 3 hour plus drive for most H2 owners the entry was on the low side but those who made the effort were amply rewarded - and every entrant received a prize. It was a beautiful day for a championship event, with lots of sunshine, mild temperatures and F3-4 shifty and gusty breeze.

The courses provided a lot of reaching which the competitors really enjoyed. The organisation at the welcoming club was 100%, with excellent catering and superb race management and safety boat cover.

Thank you NCSC, when the H2s have spread a little further north we hope to visit you regularly.
