The weekend of 24 and 25 September saw Overy Staithe SC's 2022 season draw to a close.

The evening races on Saturday saw a good entry for the Chris Geering Trophy, with 2 races sailed in the evening light and the fleet returning to shore at dusk having enjoyed racing in a decent wind. 13 boats entered, with Alex Scoles (Europe) winning overall followed by the OK's of Simon Turner and Bernard Clark. Debs Crissell (Europe) was first lady, finishing in 4th position.

Sunday morning's race was for the Trafalgar Trophy and saw an early start with first gun at 7am and the breaking light provided a very pretty backdrop for the racing. The fleet was somewhat reduced from Saturday night but enjoyed lovely conditions returning ashore in time for breakfast. Alex Scoles (OK) was first, Bernard Clark (OK) second and George Smith (ILCA 6) third.

The club now looks forward to its annual prize-giving dinner on 7 January 2023 and its AGM on 8 January 2023.
